Documents
The following import and export documents are required:

  1. Invoice & Packing list: for customs notification at destination country of imported goods
  2. Airway Bill (AWB): AWB is only required for air freight only issued by airline operators to assist in communication between airports.
  3. Bill of Lading (BL): BL required for sea freight, this document issued by the ship operator, which contains the details of the shipment
  4. Certificate of Origin (COO): COO issued by the Ministry of Commerce in Indonesia. This is based on bilateral agreements between countries of export destinations based on trade zones.
  5. Fumigation Certificate: Fumigation Certificate issued by fumigator to be shown to customs in destination country. Specific to Australia requires ETO fumigation. Fumigation is the process of removing pesticides from goods and packing materials. This applies especially to wood materials.

Product Requires License
There are some products that cannot be exported from Indonesia and some require special require special export permits or certificates. Please discuss with us before making a purchase.

  1. All wood furniture is subject to a new export license that is "V LEGAL FURNITURE / SVLK". This document confirms the origin of timber law and is currently accepted by all destination countries. Since January 2015 any furniture made of any wood (to the exception of bamboo), partly or in totality,  is subject to the “V Legal Furniture” export licence ( equivalent to the Forest Law Enforcement, Governance and Trade, “FLEGT” click here for details and to learn more about  the link between FLEGT and V LEGAL please click here.
  2. Rattan products require a special permission and must passed Sucofindo inspection before shipment.
  3. Snake skin products such as wallets, bags, shoes, etc. require a special export certificate called: CITES. We always recommend air delivery for these products rather than by sea to avoid more complicated formalities and very high tariffs.
  4. Products made of shell or mother of pearl, whether in part or in whole, such as jewelry, clothing, accessories, etc. require an export permit called KSDA.
  5. Product made of stone, granite, onyx requires two export licenses called LHV and ET
  6. SDS/MSDS certificates required for soap products.

All such regulations may change at any time. Please contact us for the latest updates.

Customs Clearance
The Clearing Agent role is to arrange clearance and delivery of cargo at final destination.
We will help appoint a professional clearing agent or we will be happy to cooperate with them if you already have one.

Air Freight
Air Freight cargo determined by the greater value of gross or volumetric weight of the goods. Air freight is a more expensive option as a result is often used for small orders, valuable items and samples. We have a good connection and cooperation with reputable airlines for faster service and competitive rates. For small package that needs door to door service we work with DHLUPSTNTFedEx and EMS that will deliver your goods within days.

Sea Freight
There are two different types of sea freight shipment depends on the volume of the goods:

  • LCL (Less than a Container Load) shipment for the goods with a volume less than a container, which is calculated by cubic meter. For LCL shipment, the goods will be packed in wooden crate. This method is suitable for buyers who do not need the whole container or for those who ship items in smaller quantities. Your item will be packed properly and then put in a container with other buyers' goods. This LCL shipment takes longer than FC as it must transit for about a week in Singapore to wait for other LCLs to be consolidated into a full container before it shipped out to the ports of destination.
  • FCL (Full Container Load) shipment available in 3 sizes: 20 Feet (max 30 m3), 40 Feet (max 60 m3), and 40 Feet High Cube (70 m3). This is suitable for buyers who need a whole container for themselves. This method is more efficient than LCL and can be used for volumes of 10 m3 or more. The container sizes are as follows: 20 Feet (30 m3), 40 Feet (60 m3), and 40 Feet High Cube (70 M3)

Insurance
Insurance is highly recommended for your goods. The insurance charge is 2.5% of the total invoice of the goods shipped. All above shipping costs and insurance charged in US dollars.
